please elaborate on your parents setting you up with teacher...?

okay hahaha

my mom works at the HS that I went to and he was my Physics teacher for a semester while the actual teacher was out on sabbatical. He was probably 24 at the time and that was my senior year. Fast forward 4.5 years (so now I’m 22, soon to be 23) and my mom and dad are trying to get me to go out and meet people. My mom thinks it’s a brilliant idea for me to date him bc he’s a homebody and so am I so she just thinks it’s a fantastic idea and mentions it about every week. My brothers think it is the most awkward idea and we all have to keep telling her no even though she keeps asking my brothers to set him up with me….

and my dad doesn’t totally have an opinion on that matter but he does want me to join a church group (presumably to meet a nice Catholic boy who is more religious than I currently am).

basically my parents are both trying to find a way to get me to move out of the house faster bc I can’t afford to live on my own just yet and I refuse to live alone.

Surprisingly, perfectionists are often procrastinators, as they can tend to think “I don’t have the right skills or resources to do this perfectly now, so I won’t do it at all.”
